Ripa TrueConnect Support
Welcome to the Ripa TrueConnect Support Center. Ripa TrueConnect, developed by Ripatech Pty Ltd, provides secure, enterprise-grade unified communications — including instant messaging, presence, voice, and video calling — that integrates with your organization’s on-premises systems.
Enterprise Architecture
Because Ripa TrueConnect uses an on-premises, customer-hosted model, each organization manages its own server configurations, account connections, and access credentials. For login problems, server errors, or password resets, please contact your internal IT help desk or system administrator.
Quick Start & Troubleshooting Guide
1. Connecting to Your Corporate Server
Logging in requires server details from your IT department:
- Step 1: Download TrueConnect from the Apple App Store.
- Step 2: Open the app and enter your corporate email or user ID.
- Step 3: Enter the server address (FQDN) or domain provided by your IT admin.
- Step 4: Enter your corporate password.
2. Resolving iOS Permission Issues
The app needs certain device permissions to function properly:
- Audio/Video Calls Not Working: Go to device Settings → TrueConnect → turn Microphone and Camera toggles ON.
- Missing Notifications: Navigate to Settings → Notifications → TrueConnect → enable “Allow Notifications”.
- Connection Drops: Turn on Local Network access in the app’s settings for on-premises routing connectivity.
3. Common Error Codes
- “Cannot Connect to Server” — Verify Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity. If connecting remotely, confirm your corporate VPN is connected if required.
- “Authentication Failed” — Recheck your credentials. Persistent issues may indicate your account is locked on the company’s network.
Administrator Technical Resources
For IT admins deploying via MDM or EMM:
- Managed App Configuration: The app supports Apple’s standard XML strings to pre-populate server URLs, enforce passcodes, and push communication profiles.
- Encryption Standards: The app establishes secure signaling via TLS and media streams via Secure RTP (SRTP). Firewall rules must permit traffic on designated SIP/VoIP ports.
